Diwali celebrates the light overcoming the dark. The light symbolizes knowledge and wisdom, while darkness is a symbol for all negative forces, such as wickedness, destruction, violence, lust, envy, injustice, greed, oppression and suffering. Every Indian home prepares for Diwali in the ancient traditional ways and celebrates the festival with long-established customs. Here are some Elements of Diwali that You should know about…
Diyas
Light is significant in Hinduism because it signifies purity, goodness, good luck and power. The existence of light means the non- existence of darkness and evil forces. It also conveys an important message of unity. One lamp is capable to light several other lamps without affecting its own light.
We, at Calyx Group, are United by Light as one big, happy family.
Lanterns / Akash Kandils
People hang lanterns and kandils outside their house to celebrate the victory of Lord Krishna after killing the demon. The lights of Deepavali outside every door signifies that the inner spiritual light of an individual must reflect outside too.
At Calyx Group, we like to see the inner beauty of every person… we understand what a home means to people, and hence we make it financially very easy for everyone to achieve their dream, make everyone’s light shine brighter.
Food/Sweet
Food is a symbol of abundance. Sweets are eaten in celebration – the victory of good over bad. Also, snacks are prepared for not just your own house, but to share with friends and families… A season of love, sharing, and abundance.
At Calyx, we live by the Spirit of Abundance. We make projects which promote community housing. In our projects, we have at least 500+ homes which suits our Brand “Atulya, Anandi Gharanchi Colony.”
Rangoli
Diwali is celebrated, primarily to herald the coming of the goddess Lakshmi. Prayers are offered to her, asking for her blessings in the form of wealth. As such, a rangoli design is created at the entrance of the house, not only to welcome the guests that visit but also the goddess herself.
How we, at Calyx, are a family that’s always growing. We have a lot of bookings coming from outside Pune, all over Maharashtra and also few from other states where people who were trying to establish their identities in Pune found us accessible and chose us to start if their living with.
Firecrackers
The illumination of homes with lights and the skies with firecrackers is an expression of obeisance to the heavens for the attainment of health, wealth, knowledge, peace and prosperity. According to one belief, the sound of fire-crackers is an indication of the joy of the people living on earth, making the gods aware of their plentiful state. Still another possible reason has a more scientific basis: the fumes produced by the crackers kill a lot of insects and mosquitoes, found in plenty after the rains.
While we, at Calyx Group, don’t recommend or support the burning of firecrackers, we would like to give you a piece of advice. If you must light crackers, stick to a small limit, and be careful of yourselves and your surroundings.
New Attire
Wearing new clothes indicates the beginning of the new year and burying of all the old painful memories of bygone years and wearing new clothes is just a symbolical gesture to commemorate that.
While the past has lessons to offer, Calyx Group has continuously re-invented itself. We have created an application wherein the customer can do all his documentation, paying installments, generating receipts, getting notifications, and other paperwork on the app itself he does not have to travel to the office for this purpose.
Investments
The popular belief is that any investment made on this day will grow and multiply throughout the year. It is the day chosen by most people to make investments in jewellery, real estate, stock, and more.
